Sarah Minty
Operations Coordinator, Program Director
Sarah values any opportunity to be outside and is happiest when on the open water.
Sarah is a seventh-generation Newfoundlander who grew up exploring the wild nooks and crannies of the island—ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq and Beothuk. These early adventures sparked a lifelong passion for connecting people meaningfully with land, sea, and story.
Her professional journey has been as varied as the landscapes she loves—from fine craft and textiles to reproductive justice, and most recently, somatic trauma recovery. Today, Sarah brings that same curiosity and care to her work with Adventure Canada’s operations team, where she designs shoreside experiences, nurtures community partnerships, and helps shape special programs like Fibre Arts and Taste of Place.
Deeply curious about collective effervescence—the power of shared joy—Sarah believes in its potential to fuel positive change. She loves ship life and feels most alive on the water, whether in a Zodiac, a kayak, or coaxing her rescue beagle to stay calm on a paddleboard.
She currently lives in Tkaronto (Toronto), Ontario, with her family.
