Sarah Ferber

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Sarah is a proud CFA (Come from Away) who has made St. John's her home for the past seventeen years after falling in love with the people and place. 

Sarah is the program manager at Food First NL, a non-profit organization committed to advancing everyone's right to food in Newfoundland and Labrador. Along with her amazing team, she works towards the vision of a province where everyone can eat with joy and dignity. 

Sarah's formal education is diverse, spanning sociology, theatre, education, and food security. She is an avid reader, dancer, crafter, cook, forager, and gardener. As a Taste of Place ambassador, she will share her broad range of food skills and knowledge with the hopes that you will also be inspired by the food, landscape, and communities of Newfoundland.
