Robert Comeau
Inuit Cultural Educator, Host
Robert is a qajaq builder as well as a social and cultural historian.
Robert lives in his hometown of Iqaluit, Nunavut. Currently working as a qajaq (kayak) builder and with Inuit Heritage Trust, Robert enjoys working within the cultural heritage and programming field. As a board member and instructor for Qajakkut, Robert works with a variety of partners to deliver qajaq related programs throughout Nunavut.
Robert holds a bachelor of arts in history from Carleton University and a J.D. from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. He also recently completed the Auniarvik Inuktitut Language Certificate from Pirurvik in Iqaluit.
Going out on the land with family and friends takes up a great deal of Robert's time. Whether fishing for char or out hunting small game, Robert enjoys learning more with every trip.
