Melissa Bascunan

Melissa, a creative individual of Chilean descent, was born in Montreal and is now fortunate to call Inuit Nunangat home (Iqaluit, Nunavut) for the past decade. She is thrilled to be joining the expedition team as both gift shop manager and stretch and wellness instructor. 

With a professional background spanning the hotel industry, schools, and community non-profits, Melissa brings a committed interest in helping people and supporting their wellness journey. Her diverse wellness background includes training such as sound bath practitioner, reiki practitioner, yoga instructor, and fitness instructor. She also has a deep appreciation for nature, hiking, DJing, travelling, and good food. 

Currently, she’s completing her bachelor of education, which will further equip her to serve her community with her multidisciplinary skills. Melissa is excited to bring her unique blend of knowledge and enthusiasm to make every guest’s time on board truly unique. Don’t hesitate to say hi and chat with her!
