Matthew James (MJ) Swan is one of the managing directors of Adventure Canada and a veteran expedition leader with more than two decades of field experience. Having led expeditions all over the globe, he’s especially inspired by the polar regions and the communities that call remote coastlines home. His approach to travel is rooted in connection—to place, to story, and to one another.

MJ describes himself first and foremost as a passionate adventurer. He believes travel should do more than move us physically—it should expand our hearts and minds.
