Lauren Clewes

Group Coordinator, Assistant Program Director

Lauren is a self-proclaimed ice-lover, bookworm, and amateur photographer, whose love of travel and nature brought her to the world of expedition cruising.

Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, Lauren has always had the travel bug. Her insatiable wanderlust and love of geography was solidified after a high school trip to Kenya and led her to complete a bachelor's degree in international studies from York University's bilingual Glendon College. As part of the program, Lauren organized and hosted an academic symposium and participated in a year-long exchange to Oxford, England, where she spent many weekends exploring western Europe.

After graduating, it was the dedication to people and place, and to doing things for the right reasons that drew Lauren to Adventure Canada. Connecting like-minded guests to incredible people and stunning landscapes and getting to experience everything alongside them is truly an honour. Lauren has become particularly enamoured with ice since joining Adventure Canada and loves to share in the thrill of people witnessing an iceberg or glacier for the first time.

When not on board, Lauren can usually be found reading at least three books at a time, working on her latest knitting project, or honing her photography skills. Her love of travel photography began at an early age, with a camera accompanying her on every family holiday, and is now the first item to be packed for any expedition.
