Keara Maynard
Marketing Coordinator, Program Director
Explorer at heart who’s always chasing good hikes, great sunsets, and live music at sea.
Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Keara grew up adventuring with her three older brothers—canoe trips in Algonquin Park and summers in Muskoka sparked a lifelong love for the outdoors. After earning a degree in human kinetics from the University of Guelph, she spent several years living in Lake Louise, Alberta, hiking new peaks almost daily and falling hard for mountain life. That passion for wild places—and a desire to help others experience them—led her to Adventure Canada.
Now working across both the client services and program directing teams, Keara helps bridge the shoreside and shipboard experience. She loves helping guests feel comfortable, connected, and curious. You’ll often find her tucked into a corner of the Nautilus Lounge enjoying live music or dashing outside to catch a golden-hour sunset. (If you spot a good one—a sunset or song—be sure to point her in the right direction!).
Keara is happiest on the trail, with her favourite trek so far being the Tour du Mont Blanc. She’s always on the lookout for new hiking recommendations—if you have a favourite, she’d love to hear it. She’s especially passionate about learning what inspires fellow travellers, hearing about their favourite places, and discovering the world through their stories.
