Ivik Simonsen Bendtsen

Ivik currently lives in Nuuk, Greenland, and was born and raised in Qaqortoq, Greenland. He works as a cashier at Brugseni, a supermarket in Greenland. 

Ivik joins Adventure Canada as a gift shop manager and Inuit cultural educator. While 2025 marks his first season on board as a team member, he previously travelled with Adventure Canada on the 2024 Into the Northwest Passage expedition, along with his mother, Aka Simonsen.  

He looks forward to sharing insights from his childhood and welcomes opportunities to interact with guests and teach them about Inuit culture. 

Ivik enjoys working with metals and his hands, and wants to become a goldsmith. In his free time, you can find Ivik hunting, fishing, hiking, precision shooting, wood carving, and hanging out with his friends.
