Brian Brown
Inuit Cultural Educator, Expedition Team
With roots in Labrador and experience as both a bear guard and electrician, Brian is passionate about safety, exploration, and connecting with the North.
Born and raised in Labrador, Brian has built a career working across northern and remote environments, from Nunavut to Nunatsiavut. Most recently, he served as a bear guard at the Torngat Mountains National Park Basecamp, ensuring the safety of researchers and guests while supporting logistics in challenging conditions. He has also worked in Resolute Bay and Eureka, Nunavut, with ATCO Frontec, contributing to facilities management, aviation support, and technical assistance in some of Canada’s most isolated communities.
Fluent in both English and French and trained as an industrial electrician and heavy equipment operator, Brian brings practical problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a strong commitment to safety to life at sea. His background includes extensive training in first aid, wilderness safety, and bear awareness, as well as leadership experience through youth programs and international sustainability conferences.
Brian has a deep connection to the people and landscapes of the North, and he thrives on sharing in the spirit of exploration and learning. On board, he looks forward to supporting guests in their journeys, while continuing to learn from the communities that define Adventure Canada’s expeditions.
